Chobe National Park

Chobe National Park is Botswana’s first national park, established in 1968, and covers approximately 11,700 square kilometers. The park is divided into four distinct ecosystems: the Serondela area along the Chobe River, known for its dense elephant herds; the Savuti Marsh, renowned for its predators, particularly lions and hyenas; the Linyanti Marsh, which attracts a variety of birdlife and wildlife; and the dry hinterland, which supports more arid-adapted species. Chobe is especially famous for having one of the highest concentrations of elephants in Africa. Visitors to the park can enjoy game drives, boat safaris on the Chobe River, bird watching, and guided walking safaris. Accommodations range from luxury lodges to more rustic campsites, catering to different types of travelers.
